Unfortunately, we are seeing a rise in unauthorized resellers of our products online and want to caution our customers to be aware. This tends to happen on Amazon (via third-party, Amazon Marketplace sellers), who may have been legitimate customers of ours in the past but who sell under a name not disclosed to us in their original application for a wholesale account, or who may buy merchandise from another wholesale customer.
Please do not hesitate to ask us if you are unsure if the reseller you are considering purchasing from is authorized or not. We are working to update our store locator to reflect the specific names of any Amazon Marketplace sellers who are authorized.
Only merchandise that is purchased from an authorized reseller is guaranteed authentic and is covered by the one-year non-transferrable warranty that we supply.
A few unauthorized Amazon sellers have recently been brought to our attention and we’d like to make you aware of them, so that you won’t unwittingly purchase an item that is not guaranteed authentic nor covered by warranty:
- Baby Things 4U
- P.S. Imports
- Carolina Trading and Consignments
- Wholesales Florida 2012 LLC (added July 6, 2013)
- maaxx1 (added July 10, 2013)
- Pringles Direct (added September 29, 2013)
- DesignHER Momma (added September 30, 2013)
- Essentially Perfect (added September 30, 2013)
If you are aware of other sellers of our products that you suspect may be unauthorized, please do send us information with links to the items/store.
Thanks for your support, and remember to patronize your local babywearing store as much as possible!
The Catbird Baby blog has been sorely neglected for many months now. But thanks to some help from our great developer we got a spiffy new blog template to match our site and had it integrated into our site as well. So, I’m resurrecting it! Since last fall, a lot has happened. We came out with the 3.0 version of the pikkolo carrier, which included a lot of feature updates and changes that we think make this carrier even better. The sleep hood is now attached to the carrier and can be rolled and stuffed into a self pocket, forming a little padded area for small babies to rest their heads on. The part that I’m most excited about is the updated cinching mechanism; it is stronger and holds more tightly than previous models, via a 1/2″ buckle and strap. For more details about the new features, check out the pikkolo shop page. Many of you have noticed that we have been in seemingly constant short supply on the pikkolos as well, and unfortunately this has been the case. But we’ve working extremely hard for the past 10 months (and more!) to get production geared up to meet the ever-increasing demand and hope to have several solutions in place very soon. We also debuted our newest mei tai line, the BE Babywearing Essentials mei tai. This is a basic, solid-color mei tai (no prints–just the essentials, in nice eye-popping colors!) with a small softly padded headrest instead of a hood. It still has our integrated elastic on the side to cinch the base. The fabric is a soft, sturdy brushed cotton and the mei tai is made in the USA. It retails for only $69, making it a great value for newborn through todder-wearing. Perfect for a baby shower, too!
